HOW YOU MET: We met through mutual friends.

THE ENGAGEMENT: He proposed on the air with the help of one of his DJs. He needed me to be ready at 5:30, and at 5:35 he was proposing.

WEDDING DESIGN INSPIRATION: Initially, it was supposed to be a music-themed wedding, but I got overwhelmed with all of the details & it was starting to balloon into something . . . else. I just wanted a tasteful, stress-free, fun day.

FAVORITE DETAILS: My cake topper was an arts & crafts project with my soon to be step-children. They loved being a part of the planning.

MOST UNEXPECTED EVENT ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING: The pirate who showed up in a speedboat with a machete (Yes, we have the pics!)

PIECE OF ADVICE: COMMUNICATE, compromise, and have a sense of humor

CAKE: Cupcakes with a top tier provided by Rouge

CATERER: Rouge Catering
