A Tidewater Inn shoot inspired by a beautiful hand-painted Perrier-Jouët champagne bottle.
My inspiration for this shoot came from the beautiful hand-painted Perrier-Jouët champagne bottle. The soft blush color of the champagne paired with the beautifully illustrated florals set the stage for the design and color palette of the shoot. We then sourced the perfect blush colored dress from Garnish Boutique. The Anne Barge Luxembourg dress was feminine, elegant, a touch on trend but still classic, and perfect for this shoot. We partnered with The Tidewater Inn as our venue and shot in their courtyard and Crystal Room. The Tidewater Inn is a quintessential Eastern Shore venue with grace, character, and a refined elegance and I wanted to show this throughout.
For rentals, we selected a textured linen from La Tavola and paired this with the timeless designs of Anna Weatherly china as well as etched glasses and vintage French chairs from DC Rental. There is an understated elegance to the tablescape which worked perfectly with the ornate details of the dress. We incorporated beautiful bold colored flowers from Intrigue Design and Decor into the centerpiece and matched these with paper goods from Allison Barnhill Designs.
The catering by Gourmet by the Bay and The Tidewater Inn was styled with a shore-inspired look. Large scallop shells were used to serve the first course and a beautiful cheese display was placed on the movable bar cart for a champagne and cheese concept. To keep with the current trends, we added a hand-painted wedding cake that was modeled off of the illustration found on the champagne bottle.
Overall, we wanted to keep our designs classic and elegant with a twist of adding a few current trends into the mix with watercolors, hand-painted items, and accents of blush.
