Shotgunning for Love: My Bridal Shower
My bridesmaids threw me the ultimate bridal shower that included all of my favorite things. The shower was once again photographed by my favorite photographer (my cousin) Kate-E Frazier Photography. I had an intimate shower at one of my bridesmaid's houses. All of my close friends and family members were there to help celebrate and get ready for the big day. For cocktails, we have grapefruit gimlets. They're an old favorite of mine from a restaurant I love in Columbus, OH—Martini.
To make your own gimlet:
1.5 ounces of Grapefruit Vodka
2.0 ounces of fresh grapefruit juice
0.5 ounces of fresh lime juice
0.25 ounces of Aperol
0.5 ounces of simple syrup
Garnish: lime slice
The dessert table display included Georgetown cupcakes, garland with my wedding colors, invitations, and macaroons.
For snacks, the bridesmaids kept it low key with the most amazing tea sandwiches and finger foods.
Me with some of my beautiful bridesmaids!
We didn't do traditional games for the shower because I don't like them, but, my bridesmaids filmed Andy answering questions and then I answered them live at the shower. It was kind of like a newlywed game and the contrast of our answers were pretty funny. We both agree that I have a nice butt and apparently I cannot live without Cheetos.
We're one step closer to the big day!
For my registry, I used Zola. You can register gifts from multiple websites all to one place on Zola. You can also use it to register for your honeymoon and cash gifts.
